The Attendance tool helps you keep track of who is present or absent in your classroom. You can register attendance yourself, or let students check in by tapping their name on the digital whiteboard.

How it works:

  1. Open the Attendance tool. The settings screen will appear.

  2. Select the group and students you want to display on the board.

  3. Set the time when your morning ends and the afternoon begins. This ensures absences are linked to the correct part of the day.

  4. Choose how you want student photos or initials to appear: circle, portrait, or landscape.

  5. Click Save. Your student list will now appear on the board.

  6. Decide if you want to mark attendance for the whole day, the morning, or the afternoon by using the buttons at the bottom.

  7. Students can check themselves in by clicking their name once. Their circle turns green to show they are present.

  8. Click a student’s name twice to mark them absent. The circle turns red, and you can select an absence reason.

  9. Click a red circle again to return the student to neutral. The cycle is: present > absent > neutral.

  10. For a quick start, you can mark everyone as present by selecting “Everyone present” and then adjust for absences.

Absence reasons

When you mark a student as absent, you can choose from several reasons, such as:

  • Late

  • Sick

  • Funeral

  • Wedding

  • Celebration

  • Family

  • Athletics

  • Medical appointment

  • Other excused

💡Tip: Let students check themselves in each morning. This not only saves you time but also gives them a sense of responsibility at the start of the school day.
