The Name Picker is a simple and fair way to randomly select a student in your classroom. This ensures everyone has an equal chance to be chosen, without preference or order.

How it works:

  1. Open the tool

    • When you place the Name Picker on the board, the settings screen will open automatically.

  2. Select students

    • Choose a group of students from your lists.

    • You can include or exclude individual students by checking or unchecking their names.

    • If you haven’t created a group yet, first create one in your student management.

  3. Set the order of selection

    • Pick each name only once: Each student will be chosen once until everyone has had a turn. Perfect if you want to give everyone a fair chance.

    • Random selection: Each pick is completely random, and all names stay in the pool every time.

  4. Choose display options

    • Show either first names only or full names.

  5. Add effects

    • Animation: Add a shuffle animation for extra excitement when picking a name.

    • Sound: Play a sound effect each time a name is chosen.

  6. Save and start

    • Once you’ve set your preferences, click Save.

    • Press the shuffle button to randomly select the next student. Their name will appear clearly on the board

💡Tip: Use the Name Picker to keep classroom activities fair and engaging. For example, let it decide who answers a question, presents first, or helps with a classroom task. The shuffle and sound options make the process fun and suspenseful for students.
