The Hourglass is a visual timer that shows time passing as sand flows from the top to the bottom. It’s a simple and effective way to let students see how much time they have left during an activity, presentation, or assignment.

How it works:

  1. Add the Hourglass to your board

    • The hourglass appears with a default time setting and two buttons: Play and Reset.

  2. Set the time

    • Click the gear icon in the bottom-left corner to open the settings.

    • Choose any time between 1 and 60 minutes.

  3. Start, pause, or reset

    • Press the Play button to start the timer. The sand begins moving from the top to the bottom.

    • You can pause at any time.

    • Use the Reset button to return the hourglass to its full state.

  4. Choose a sound

    • When time is up, a sound will play.

    • In the settings, you can pick from different sounds such as a buzzer, bell, alarm, guitar, gong, or even playful sounds like Jingle Bells or Steamboat.

    • You can also select No sound if you prefer the timer to run silently.

💡Tip: The Hourglass is especially helpful for younger students or those who benefit from a strong visual cue. Try using it during short independent tasks, group rotations, or games to keep energy up and transitions smooth.
