The Calendar tool helps students learn how to read and work with a calendar. It includes both an annual and a monthly view, which you can adjust to your preferences. This makes it useful for teaching about days, weeks, months, and planning classroom events.

How it works:

  1. Open the calendar

    • The tool opens in the yearly view, showing all 12 months.

    • Use the blue arrows next to the year to move backward or forward through different years.

  2. Switch to monthly view

    • Tap on a month to view that month’s calendar.

    • Use the blue arrows to scroll to other months.

    • Select Today to jump back to the current date.

    • Select Year view to return to the yearly overview.

  3. Highlight or hide dates

    • In monthly view, use the buttons below the calendar:

      • Highlight: Click a date to turn it orange. Click again to remove the highlight.

      • Flip: Click a date to hide it. Click again to reveal it.

Customize Calender

Open the Settings menu (gear icon) to adjust how the calendar looks:

  • First day of the week: Choose Saturday, Sunday, or Monday.

  • Show dates: Hide or unhide all dates. If hidden, you can reveal them one by one with the Flip option.

  • Show international week numbers: Adds week numbers to the calendar.

  • Highlight current day: Shows today’s date with a green circle.

  • Show weekend days in a different color: Makes weekends appear light red.

💡Tip: Use the Calendar tool as a daily or weekly routine to help students understand the passage of time and upcoming events. Highlight special dates like birthdays, field trips, or project deadlines to build excitement and keep students organized.
