Multiplication and Division Fact Fluency

The Multiplication and Division Fact Fluency tool helps students practice math facts in a fun, interactive way. Students solve as many multiplication or division problems as possible within a set time limit.

How to play:

  1. Adjust settings to fit your class.

  2. Press Play to start. A countdown begins before the first problem is shown.

  3. Students answer as many questions as possible within the set time.

  4. At the end, review results:

    • In open answer mode, check how many problems were shown.

    • In multiple-choice mode, see which answers were correct or incorrect.

Customization

  • Mode

    • Open answer: Students think of the answer and click the card to reveal it. At the end, you can see how many exercises were completed.

    • Multiple choice: Students select from 2–6 answer choices. Wrong answers turn red, and the correct answer is revealed if all options are incorrect.

  • Multiplication or division

    • Choose between multiplication, division, or a mixed set of both.

  • Order

    • Ascending: Facts are shown in increasing order (e.g., 1×2, 2×2, 3×2).

    • Descending: Facts are shown in decreasing order (e.g., 10×2, 9×2, 8×2).

    • Random: Facts appear in random order.

  • Multiply or divide by

    • Select which numbers you want to practice. Options include 1–12, as well as 15, 20, and 25.

  • Activity duration

    • Set the time limit: anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes.

  • Background

    • Choose from colorful preset backgrounds or select Transparent to place your own image behind the problems.

💡Tip: Turn it into a team competition: Split the class into groups and let them compete for the most correct answers.

  1. Use it as a warm-up activity to energize the class.

  2. Choose random order to challenge quick recall.

  3. Select custom backgrounds to make practice sessions more engaging.
