You can quickly make single- or multi-bar charts from data in a table. Add your own data or use randomly generated data to get started. This tool helps students practice reading and creating bar charts right on the interactive whiteboard.

How it works:

  1. Open the tool. The editing screen will appear.

    • On the left: a table where you can enter your data.

    • On the right: an empty bar chart that updates as you add values.

  2. In the table, type names for the bars in the left column and numbers in the right column. The chart will update immediately.

  3. Add a title for your chart in the box above the table.

  4. Use the “plus” or “minus” buttons to adjust the horizontal marking lines.

  5. Click “Save” to show only the bar chart without the table.

  6. To edit the chart again, click the pencil icon at the top right.

  7. Use the buttons at the top right:

    • Refresh to clear the table.

    • Generate to fill the table with random data.

Customize:

  • Bar chart type: Choose between a single bar chart or a grouped bar chart.

  • Display values: Decide how to show values:

    • Reveal values on click lets you show values one by one, perfect for class discussions.

    • Always show values displays all values immediately.

💡Tip: Use the “Reveal values on click” setting to turn your chart into an interactive quiz. Ask students to predict which bar will be the tallest before revealing the values together.
