The Text-to-Speech tool transforms written text into spoken words. It’s a powerful way to engage students, support early readers, and make lessons more accessible.

How it works:

  1. Open the tool. A button with a speaker icon will appear on your board.

  2. Click the gear icon to open the settings.

  3. In the Enter word or phrase box, type or paste the text you want to be read aloud.

  4. Choose a language or accent from the dropdown menu. There are many options to match your students’ needs.

  5. Pick a button color to help organize your lesson.

  6. Click Save. The button will appear on your page.

  7. Tap the button during your lesson to hear the text read aloud.

Supported languages and accents

You can select from a wide variety of voices to match your lesson needs:

  • English: GB, IE, SG, US

  • Spanish: MX, ES, US

  • French: FR, BE, CA, CH

  • German: DE, CH

  • Danish

  • Italian

  • Norwegian

  • Swedish

  • Portuguese

  • Greek

  • Ukrainian

  • Urdu (PK)

💡Tip: Use Text-to-Speech to bring variety into your lessons. For example, enter key vocabulary words or instructions and let students hear them in different accents or languages. It’s a fun way to add global perspective and extra practice.
