The World Map tool allows you to explore and display locations directly on your interactive whiteboard. You can zoom in, move around the globe, and search for places by name or coordinates. This makes it perfect for geography lessons, cultural studies, or simply exploring the world with your students.

How it works:

  1. Open the World Map tool on your board.

  2. Resize the map from the bottom right corner if needed.

  3. Move around the map by clicking and dragging, or by using your fingers on a touchscreen.

  4. Zoom in and out using the + and - buttons or by pinching with two fingers.

  5. To locate a specific place, type the name or the latitude and longitude into the search bar. A marker will be placed on the spot.

Settings:

  • Map type: Choose between the Default map or Satellite view.

  • Display options:

    • Show or hide place names.

    • Show or hide the search bar.

💡Tip: Use the World Map as a starting point for classroom discussions. For example, mark locations related to a story you are reading, track where historical events took place, or explore where your students’ families come from. It’s a simple way to make learning more visual and connected to the real world.
