The Country Maps tool lets you zoom in on individual countries and explore their regions, capitals, and other geographical features. You can use it in Explore mode to freely navigate or in Practice mode to test knowledge with interactive exercises.

How it works:

  1. Open the Country Maps tool.

  2. In Settings, choose:

    • Country: Select the country you want to display.

    • Mode:

      • Explore to freely click and view details.

      • Practice to let students identify states, capitals, or other features.

    • Region: Show the entire country or a specific part.

    • Features: Show states, capital cities, cities, bodies of water, or mountain ranges.

    • Names: Decide if names are visible from the start or revealed only when clicked.

  3. Click Save to display the map.

Explore mode:

  • Zoom in and out with the +/- buttons or pinch with two fingers.

  • Use the mini-map in the corner to track where you are.

  • Click a state, city, or feature to highlight and display its name.

Practice mode:

  • Choose the number of exercises you want in Settings.

  • A bar at the top will ask questions such as “Find Berlin on the map.”

  • Click a location to answer. If incorrect, try again.

  • Stuck? Use Show answer to reveal the location and continue.

💡Tip: Use Country Maps during geography lessons to make learning specific regions interactive. For example, when studying Germany, ask students to find states or capitals in Practice mode.
