Save the Robot is a fun spelling and vocabulary game where students guess letters to uncover hidden words. Each incorrect guess causes a piece of the robot, Virko, to break. Students have nine chances to save Virko by guessing the word correctly before he completely falls apart!

How it works:

  1. Open the Save the Robot tool.

  2. In Settings, create a new word list or select a saved set.

    • You can enter as many words as you like.

    • Words will be chosen at random during the game.

  3. Click Save to start playing.

  4. Students take turns guessing letters.

    • Correct letters are revealed in the word.

    • Wrong letters are displayed in the top-left corner.

    • With each wrong guess, Virko loses a part of his body.

  5. The game ends when the word is solved or after nine incorrect guesses.

💡Tip: Make Save the Robot a team challenge to boost collaboration. Divide your class into groups and give each team a limited time to choose a letter using a timer tool. You can also link the word list to your current lesson theme, for example, use science terms during a unit review. This keeps the activity relevant and reinforces subject vocabulary in an engaging way.
