The Morning Routine tool helps you start the day with structure and consistency. It combines a calendar, weather chart, and number of the day into one simple routine that engages students and sets the tone for learning.
How it works:
Open the Morning Routine tool.
You’ll see three modules: Calendar, Weather, and Number of the Day.Set up your preferences in Settings:
Calendar: Choose the first day of the week and assign a default color to each weekday.
Weather: Select which weather types to include, such as sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy, windy, foggy, or stormy.
Number of the Day: Decide whether numbers should be shown in ones, tens, or hundreds (1-digit, 2-digit, or 3-digit format).
Use the modules with your students:
Calendar: Add the current month and day, then mark it with a sticker to highlight special events or holidays.
Weather: Discuss the season and today’s weather. Students can record the weather on a chart for ongoing practice with data collection and graphing.
Number of the Day: Practice place value and number sense by breaking down the number into ones, tens, or hundreds. Use the plus/minus buttons to adjust or generate a random number.
💡Tip: Save the Morning Routine tool to your favorites so it’s always ready when your students arrive. This daily practice builds routine, supports calendar and math skills, and gives every child a chance to contribute to class discussions.
