The Simple Bar Chart helps students learn how to read and create bar graphs in an interactive way. On the whiteboard, you can build charts together by adjusting the number of bars, changing their heights, and adding lines. This makes it easy to practice data collection, comparison, and interpretation.
How it works:
Adjust bar height
Click and drag a bar to move it up or down.
Or click directly on a line and the bar will snap to that height.
Add or remove lines
Use the + or - buttons on the top left of the chart.
Add or remove bars
Use the + or - buttons on the bottom right of the chart.
Label your chart
Use the text tool to add titles, axis labels, or values.
Settings:
Select the chart and open Settings.
Choose to Lock lines to keep the grid fixed.
Choose to Lock bars to keep the bars fixed in place.
Locking removes the + and - buttons, making it easier to add labels without distractions.
💡Tip: Create a bar chart together with your students using real classroom data, such as favorite fruit, pets, or sports. This way, students can see how numbers turn into a visual story they can read and interpret.
