The Day and Night Clock helps students understand how time connects to day and night. As the clock changes, the sun and moon move across the sky, making the passage of time easy to visualize.

How it works

  1. The tool shows both a digital and an analog clock alongside an image of the sky.

  2. Use the + and – buttons to change the time on the digital clock. The analog clock and sky image update automatically.

  3. Drag the hands of the analog clock to adjust the time. The digital clock will change along with it.

  4. Click the shuffle button to generate a random time for practice.

Settings

  • Digital clock: Show or hide the digital clock and choose whether to use AM/PM.

  • Watch face (analog clock): Select between numerals or Roman numerals.

  • Extra options (analog clock): Show minutes on the border or display 24-hour numerals.

💡Tip: Use the Day and Night Clock to spark discussions about daily routines. For example, set the time to early morning and ask students what activities they usually do at that time. This helps them connect the concept of time to their own lives.
