The Money Drag tool helps students practice recognizing, counting, and working with money. It’s a hands-on way to introduce concepts of value, addition, and making change. Students can drag bills and coins onto the board to solve problems or create their own money combinations.

How it works

  1. Open the tool and drag coins or bills onto the board.

  2. Move and arrange them to build amounts of money.

  3. Invite students to the board to practice making specific values or solving money problems.

  4. Use the tool to show different ways to create the same amount, for example using coins only, bills only, or a mix of both.

Settings

Click the gear icon in the bottom-left corner to customize the tool:

  • Currency: Choose from multiple currencies, such as US Dollars, Euros, or Canadian Dollars.

  • Money values: Select which coins and bills are available (for example, only pennies and nickels, or only bills).

  • Orientation: Display money options in a horizontal or vertical layout.

💡Tip: Challenge your students by giving them a “shopping task.” Place items on the board with prices and ask students to use the Money Drag tool to pay the correct amount. This connects money practice to real-world problem solving.
