Alpaca Race is a playful way to practice math while keeping your students motivated. Two alpacas, Nacho and Pepper, race to the finish line as your class solves problems. Every correct answer helps their team move forward. The lively visuals on the whiteboard and student devices make math practice feel like a game.

How it works:

  1. Click on Student Interaction in the toolbar and open Alpaca Race.

  2. Choose the math skills you want to practice:

    • Multiplication

    • Division

    • Addition

    • Subtraction

    • Or mix them together for extra challenge.

  3. Set the race length: short, average, or long.

  4. Students join the game using the Gynzy app or by scanning the QR code / entering the PIN.

  5. Teams are created automatically and balanced so everyone has a fair chance to win.

  6. Start the race and watch Nacho and Pepper compete. Every correct answer makes an alpaca run faster.

  7. Follow the leaderboard on the whiteboard for real-time updates of each team’s progress.

Settings:

  • Math type: Select the operations and tables you want students to practice.

  • Race length: Decide how long the race should last.

  • Team balance: The tool automatically adjusts the number of problems per student so all teams have equal chances of winning.

💡Tip: Use Alpaca Race at the end of a math lesson as a fun way to review. The friendly competition keeps students engaged, while they practice key skills without even noticing they’re doing extra work.
