Stylus Recognition lets your interactive whiteboard recognize both stylus and finger input. This gives you more control and flexibility during lessons. You can write or draw with your stylus, move or select with your finger, and even assign different colors to each input for clear and colorful collaboration.

How it works:

  1. Open your profile page.
Go to your profile on the interactive whiteboard.

  2. Enable Stylus Recognition.
Under App preferences, find Stylus recognition and toggle the switch to turn it on.

  3. Calibrate your finger.
Follow the on-screen instructions to trace the outline shown using your finger.
This helps the whiteboard correctly detect the difference between your finger and stylus.

  4. Start using Stylus Recognition.
After calibration, two icons appear in your toolbar:

    • A finger icon (above the arrow)

    • A pen icon (above the pencil)

You can now assign these inputs:

    • Use your finger to navigate, move objects, or select items.

    • Use your stylus to write, draw, or erase.

    • You can also assign the stylus to the shapes tool, so you can draw precise shapes with the pen.

  5. Set different colors for stylus and finger.
When you select the pencil tool in the toolbar, you can choose a color for your stylus and a different color for your finger.
This helps you and your students easily see who’s writing or drawing on the board.

Settings:

In the App preferences menu, you can adjust related options:

  • Erase with fist: Erase content using a closed fist gesture.

  • Zoom gesture: Zoom in and out using two fingers.

💡Tip: Stylus Recognition is great for interactive lessons. Let one student draw with the stylus in one color while another works with their finger in a different color. This makes collaboration visible and keeps your board organized and clear.
