There are two ways to add a video to your lesson. Via the YouTube search feature in the media library, you can easily search through all published videos on YouTube. Via the tool 'Embed video', you can embed a specific video by its URL.

Search for public YouTube videos

The media library offers a wide spectrum of media content for you to enrich your lessons. Follow these steps to find and add a YouTube video that is publicly available and does not include restricted content.

  1. Open the media library (the rainbow-colored flower icon in the toolbar).

  2. Click Videos.

  3. Enter your search term(s).

  4. Click the desired video.

Your video is now embedded in the lesson and you can resize and move the frame to position it on your board.

Add videos by their URL

To add a specific video (e.g. one that is unlisted in search), you can add a video that is published on YouTube or Vimeo by its URL (web address/link). Follow these steps to embed a video by its URL:

  1. Find and copy the URL of the video you would like to embed*.

  2. Find and open the Embed video tool in the library.

  3. Enter or paste the video URL in the text field.

  4. Click Save.

Your video is now embedded in the lesson and you can resize and move the frame to position it on your board.

Tip: The video needs to be publicly accessible from that URL (i.e. on YouTube, the visibility must be either Public or Unlisted. On Vimeo, Who can watch must be set to Anyone or People with the private link and Where can this be embedded must be set to Anywhere.
