Select

The Select arrow lets you interact with elements on the digital whiteboard.

Located on the left-hand side of the toolbar, tap on the arrow icon to modify and manipulate objects and tools.

  • Tap on the Select icon (arrow) on the left-hand side of the toolbar.

  • Tap on any object on the whiteboard to select it. You can select text, images, shapes, or any other element you've added.

  • Once selected, move, rotate, or resize the object by dragging it or using the handles that appear around it. This allows you to tailor the size and orientation.

  • To select multiple objects, tap on the Select tool, then drag across the objects you want to group. This is useful for moving or resizing several elements at once.

  • To deselect an object, tap anywhere on the whiteboard outside the selected object or tap on the Select tool again.

Draw

The Draw feature allows you to write, underline, or highlight on the digital whiteboard. Illustrate concepts, engage students, and highlight key information effortlessly.

  • Tap on the pencil icon on the toolbar.

  • Choose your preferred color and stroke width.

  • Start drawing directly on the whiteboard.

  • To erase, simply select the eraser tool or undo your last action.

Erase

The Erase feature helps keep the digital whiteboard clear and your ideas flowing. The eraser icon is located directly in the toolbar which makes it easy to access whenever you need to make space for new ideas or correct mistakes.

  • Tap on the eraser icon in the toolbar to activate the erase function.

  • Upon selection, you'll be presented with options for the eraser size. Choose from three sizes to best fit the area you intend to clear, whether it's a small mistake or a large section of the board.

  • Simply swipe over the content you wish to erase. The chosen size of your eraser will determine the breadth of content removed with each stroke.

  • For a fresh start, select the "Erase All" option. This clears the entire board, allowing you to begin with a clean slate.

  • To exit the erase function and return to other tools, tap the Eraser icon again or select another tool from the toolbar.

Text

The Text tool enables you to convey instructions, notes, and key points on the digital whiteboard. Located as the fourth icon from the left in the toolbar, the Text feature is symbolized by a simple yet iconic "T". This tool enriches your lessons by allowing you to add customizable text anywhere on your board.

  • Tap the "T" icon to activate the Text tool.

  • Once activated, tap anywhere on the whiteboard to start typing your text. A text box appears, ready to capture your thoughts or instructions.

  • You can customize your text with the following options:

    • Font Selection: Choose the font that best suits your teaching material, from formal to fun.

    • Font Size: Adjust the size for readability or emphasis, ensuring that every student can see clearly.

    • Styling: Apply bold, italic, or underline formatting to make key terms stand out.

    • Text Color: Select a color that contrasts well with your background or aligns with your lesson theme.

    • Alignment: Align your text to the left, center, or right of the text box, aiding in the organizational layout of your content.

    • Lists: Organize your information using bullet points or numbered lists, perfect for step-by-step instructions or key points.

  • After typing and customizing your text, just tap outside the text box to set it in place on the whiteboard. You can always select it again to make further edits.

Shapes

The Shapes feature enables you to enrich any concept visually, and is easily identifiable by the green square icon in the toolbar. With this feature, you can add a variety of shapes to highlight concepts, create diagrams, or organize information visually.

  • Tap on the Shapes icon to reveal the different shapes available.

  • You can customize your shape with the following options:

    • Color: Select a fill color for your shape to make it vibrant or more subtle.

    • Border Thickness: Adjust the thickness of your shape's border to make it more pronounced or minimalistic.

    • Border Color: Choose a color for the border that complements or contrasts with the fill color for greater impact.

    • Rounded Corners: Soften the edges of your rectangles and squares to add a friendly touch to diagrams or illustrations.

    • Shadow: Add a shadow effect to give your shapes depth, making them pop off the screen and capture your students' attention.

  • To place a shape on the digital whiteboard, tap on the desired location and hold down. Then, drag to resize the shape according to your preference.

Media

The Media feature is your portal to integrating rich, dynamic content directly into your lessons. It offers a range of options to enhance your teaching material with images, videos, and audio, making lessons more engaging and interactive.

  • Tap on the Media icon to pull up the menu where you can add content to your digital whiteboard.

  • Images:

    • Use the “Gynzy Images” search bar to find the right image for your needs. Whether you're looking for specific themes, subjects, or concepts, the image library has you covered.

    • My Images: Access your personal image collection in "My Images". Here, you can view and select from images you've previously uploaded, making it easy to reuse your favorite visuals.

  • Videos:

    • Navigate to the "Videos" tab to search for video content from YouTube. This feature allows you to add videos from YouTube onto your digital whiteboard.

  • Audio:

    • Navigate to the "Audio" tab to upload audio files to the digital whiteboard.

Backgrounds

The Backgrounds feature offers a range of options to customize the backdrop of your digital whiteboard.

  • Tap on the lined paper icon to access the Backgrounds menu.

  • Browse categories

    • Lines:

      • Select "Regular" for standard lines suitable for writing and note-taking.

      • Select "Contrast" for more pronounced lines that enhance readability and focus.

    • Image

      • Thematic: Choose themed backgrounds that match your lesson's subject or the current season.

      • Simple: Opt for minimalist designs for a clean, distraction-free backdrop.

      • Photos: Incorporate real-world scenes into your classroom with photographic backgrounds.

      • Textures: Add a layer of depth with textured backgrounds, from paper grains to fabric patterns.

    • Color

      • Pastel: Soft, soothing pastels create a calm learning environment.

      • Bold: Use bold colors to energize the classroom and grab students' attention.

    • Layout: Predefined layouts help structure your content, guiding student focus throughout the lesson.

  • Apply a background

    • After choosing your preferred category and specific background, tap to apply it instantly to your digital whiteboard.
